الملخص
Antimicrobial Resistance in Gram-Negative Bacteria provides an integrated overview of the biological, molecular, genetic, epidemiological and clinical dimensions of antimicrobial resistance. It explains major resistance mechanisms, including β-lactamases, reduced permeability, efflux, target modification, biofilms and persistence, and examines the role of plasmids, integrons, transposons and horizontal gene transfer. Major multidrug-resistant Gram-negative pathogens are discussed alongside genomic epidemiology, plasmid transmission and One Health reservoirs. The book also reviews phenotypic and molecular detection, resistome analysis, therapeutic management, emerging antimicrobial strategies, surveillance, stewardship and infection prevention. By connecting mechanisms with transmission and control, it offers a contemporary framework for understanding and responding to resistant Gram-negative bacteria.
