Abstract
Experimental Toxicology is a course manual designed for first-year Master’s students in Fundamental and Applied Toxicology at USTO-MB. Structured around the official curriculum, it covers animal experimentation, in vivo toxicity testing, in vitro toxicity evaluation, stochastic effects, good practices in animal experimentation, and alternative methods. The manual integrates ethical and regulatory frameworks, toxicokinetics, dose-response principles, OECD test guidelines, GLP requirements, and modern predictive approaches. Each part combines learning objectives, scientific explanations, tables, figures, and recent references, while tutorial and practical programmes develop critical reading, laboratory, and risk-assessment skills relevant to contemporary experimental toxicology.
