Abstract

This book explores the multifunctional potential of lemon (Citrus limon) and pomegranate (Punica granatum) peels as valuable sources of bioactive compounds for food, pharmaceutical, and nutraceutical applications. It highlights the rich composition of phenolics, flavonoids, tannins, alkaloids, and essential oils present in these agro-industrial by-products and examines their antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antidiabetic, hepatoprotective, and cardioprotective activities.
